Meeting of the Minds Speaker
Jonathan Hopkins leads a 13-person team to reduce drive-alone rates throughout Seattle.
Commute Seattle is funded through a partnership between the Seattle Department of Transportation, King County Metro, Sound Transit, and the Downtown Seattle Association. Thanks to the partnership, downtown Seattle absorbed 60,000 jobs since 2010 while reducing SOV trips by 4,500. Jonathan’s background includes nine years as a US Army infantry officer, a Master’s Degree from Georgetown and work in consulting in DC and Seattle. Prior to joining Commute Seattle, Jonathan led small city operations and transit partnerships at Uber, and advocated for Seattle’s audacious rail transit expansion.
