Program

As cities and counties prepare for an infusion of $550B in new federal investments in infrastructure over the next five years, many of us are wondering how best to deploy these funds to address the urgent climate crisis. This is a historic moment for infrastructure, climate policy, resiliency, and cities that cannot be squandered.

Join us for a 2-hour workshop where we will share emerging solutions and break down the infrastructure bill further and its implications and opportunities. The first 40 minutes will be dedicated to introductions and learning more about each other’s work followed by a group discussion for an hour and 20 minutes on the topic at hand.

The following Executive Cohort alumni will start us off and share their expertise on the topic:

  • Mark Funkhouser, President, Funkhouser & Associates and former Mayor of Kansas City (expert on fiscal management of cities)
  • Laurie Schoeman, National Director, Resilience and Disaster Recovery, Enterprise Community Partners and Founding Member of Resilience21
  • Sharmila Mukherjee, EVP Planning and Development, Capital Metro in Austin
