Stephanie Rico is senior vice president and Environmental Affairs business initiatives manager for Wells Fargo & Co.

In this role, Rico leads efforts to help the company foster more resilient communities. She is also responsible for managing Wells Fargo’s response to CDP and for co-leading and managing its Corporate Social Responsibility approach.

Rico is a 10-year Wells Fargo veteran and has been a member of the Environmental Affairs team since its inception in 2005.
Her work supports the company’s integration of environmental goals, policies and processes into its operations. Under her leadership, Wells Fargo has been recognized by the CDP as a leader on carbon disclosure.

Rico has spent the majority of her career supporting social and community issues in the areas of resource management, healthcare, education and the environment. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, she managed charitable giving initiatives for Mitsubishi Motors N.A., media relations for Harris Bank, and several local political campaigns.

Rico earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Interdisciplinary Studies from San Francisco State University, and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago.

Rico is active in the local community and is on the leadership committees of e-Stewards®, promoting responsible disposal of e-waste; Business Council on Climate Change supporting
San Francisco’s climate strategy; and Ten Strands, supporting California’s Environmental Education Initiative.

Rico resides in Mill Valley, Calif.
