Morgan Taggart has been working at the intersection of urban planning, neighborhood development, and food systems in Cleveland for the last 12 years.
In 2007 she founded the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Food Policy Coalition in partnership with the City of Cleveland and Case Western Reserve University to improve access to healthy food for all residents and support the local food economy. Under her leadership, the coalition worked to develop new policies, programs, and zoning regulations to support urban agriculture and local food businesses. She is currently the Director of ag|re|culture at St. Clair Superior Development Corporation where she is leading a comprehensive neighborhood food initiative that integrates placemaking, economic development, public health and community engagement. She received the Distinguished Staff Award from The Ohio State University and was named Woman of the Year by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. She received her Bachelors in Biology from Earlham College and completed her Masters in Urban Planning, Design and Development at Cleveland State University.
